Designed for UN personnel, our
In-Person Workshop is a one-day immersion into mindfulness practices to support staff wellbeing.
This workshop is offered by-invitation to UN personnel around the globe who share a commitment to supporting staff and team wellbeing. Led by our world-class facilitators, the workshop is deeply experiential and invites participants to explore mindfulness and compassionate leadership.
the impact
From Addis Ababa to Bogotá, from Phnom Penh to Mbarara…UN personnel around the world have observed:
part one: mindful awareness, decision-making, behaviour and impact
Explore the concept of emotional intelligence and the myth of multi-tasking, while learning how to perceive emotion in our bodies and practicing meditation as a tool for self-awareness.
part two: paradox, prediction and perception
Learn the science behind the predictive and perceptive nature of our brains and apply it to the way we perceive our own identities and others’ through the concept of connections and intersections.
part three: our life experiences
Explore the way our life experiences shape who we are, how we show up in the world, and the biases we hold.
part four: self-compassion and compassion for others
Practice extending compassion to ourselves and to others as critical building blocks for compassionate leadership.
part five: compassionate leadership
Apply compassion to your role as a leader in work and in life to cultivate personal, team and organizational wellbeing.
“Our collective efforts can create lasting change…by fostering mental health and well-being, we can lay the foundation for a more compassionate and harmonious world that starts from within so that we can continue supporting the people we work with and for.”
the details
We recognize that supporting your team to step away from their work for an entire day may feel impossible. We also know that this program is an investment in your team and yourself that will create an impact and ripple effect far beyond this one day.
The in-person workshop is offered at no cost to your office.
In addition to all associated costs, our team will coordinate workshop planning and logistics, and support you and your team with registration and communications. In return, we ask that your team supports with coordination (such as identifying venues), staff registration and participation, and (if needed) visas and security.
At this time, the workshop is offered in English and Spanish. In the near future, we will begin to offer the workshop in Arabic and French.
