Joanne is the Digital Programs Coordinator for the Peace on Purpose team.  Within her work, she increases accessibility to mindfulness and promotes resilience in times of crisis. Joanne holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University with a focus on conflict resolution and international development. Through her research on sexual exploitation and abuse in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she gained insight on the importance of trauma sensitivity and resilience within the field of international development. She has worked with the B4 Youth Theatre as its International Development Program Assistant, the American Red Cross as a field operations support volunteer, and has taught English as a second language to elementary school students in rural South Korean communities.
