Josefine Roos
(she/her)
Mallorca, Spain

Over the past one and a half decades, Josefine has been living and working in countries affected by conflict. This experience has deepened and evolved into a passion for supporting peace leaders navigating personal and political conflict, challenges, and change.

Josefine believes that the emergence of healthy systems, in both individuals and groups, can happen when we deeply care for the wellbeing and resilience of those that care for others, and when we keep curiosity, collaboration and joy at the center of what we do.

She is co-founder of Adapt Peacebuilding, a global organization with locally led peacebuilding initiatives. Adapt’s offerings combine professional training in conflict work with mindfulness, resilience, and trauma-sensitive skills, to support aid professionals. Josefine has worked as a mediator at the New York Peace Institute, as a program manager in peacebuilding initiatives at the United Nations in Colombia, and has supported locally-led peacebuilding projects in Myanmar as Deputy Country Director of CDA collaborative learning projects.  She holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University (SIPA) in New York, and a Master’s (Hons) from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Josefine is a certified yoga teacher.
